Software Architect (Location: New Delhi)

We have setup a world class product development team in India to accelerate the development of our products. We are looking for rock star open source developers who want to work with a distributed team of developers based in the US and around the world.

As Software Architect, you should have a strong object-oriented design background, be familiar with the agile development methodology, and have experience working in Linux, MySQL, MongoDB, PHP MVC Frameworks like CodeIgniter (or equivalent).

You must have a passion for shipping elegant, efficient products that will be used by many hundreds of thousands of people around the world. You’ll be given more responsibilities than elsewhere and if you’re good at what you do you will move up quickly. This position is full-time and based in our offices in New Delhi.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing large scale web applications (hands on coding.)
• Responsible for requirements gathering, analysis and documentation.
• Responsible for risk assessment analysis, project scheduling and resource allocation planning.
• Establish and maintain coding standards, perform design and code reviews to ensure compliance, and do research and train the team on new and improved development practices.
• Responsible for design & develop software architecture and data models.
• Responsible for quality assurance, including performance.

Desired Profile:

• A Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Computer Science, or related discipline with at least 80% marks in class XII.
• Should have managed teams of a minimum of 1-2 people.
• Must have a minimum 5+ years of project experience developing web applications using the Linux / Apache / PHP 5 / MySQL i.e. the LAMP stack. Should have worked with a MVC framework.
• Experience with browser add-ons, WordPress plugins, CodeIgniter, MongoDB, Facebook APIs or Twitter APIs is a huge plus.
