Shareaholic is 4 years old! Tomorrow, August 26, will be Shareaholic’s official 4th birthday as a company and it is certainly a time to pause and thank the millions of users who have gotten us to where we are today. Thank you!
Shareaholic started as a nights and weekends project of our CEO Jay Meattle, the first product being our award-winning Firefox extension, which was recognized with the Mozilla Extend Firefox award and reached 1 million downloads in just a little more than a year.
Fast forward to 2012 – we have more than 2 million downloads on our browser extensions, which include tools for all the major browsers and enable sharing to more than 250 social networks. We’ve expanded our offerings beyond browser extensions to create helpful tools for websites. We reach nearly 300 million people each month through 200,000 websites that use our social sharing, related content and content analytics tools.
Plus, we’ve got a full team of 10 employees and our very own office in Cambridge, MA – (and we’re definitely looking to add more people!) We have the honor of working with some pretty smart advisors, investors and product partners to help us carry out our big vision. Dream big – you never know where your nights and weekends side hustle might take you!
We thought it would be a fun way to celebrate our fourth birthday by sharing pictures of a few of our team members at four years old. Be careful, they might make you melt inside a little:
