In our pursuit to build<\/a> better<\/a> tools<\/a> for publishers, we recognized an opportunity for blogs and brands to convert readers into social media fans and followers.<\/p>\n

Sites can now grab readers’ attention while they’re fully engaged. We call that the “post-share” window, the moment immediately after a visitor shares a page or post from your website to their favorite social networks.<\/p>\n

This is an action-triggered event which catches your reader as soon as they’ve demonstrated engagement (e.g. sharing your page or post). Think of it this way:<\/p>\n

User visits site<\/strong>\u00a0>> Reads content<\/strong> >> Shares it<\/strong> >> Sees a thank you + your social profiles\u00a0>> Likes, Follows <\/em>or Adds <\/em>you to their circles<\/strong><\/p>\n

Neat, huh?<\/p>\n

Instructions for Activating Follow Buttons<\/h3>\n

If you already use Shareaholic tools<\/a>, follow these steps and watch as you effortlessly convert your readers into loyal social media fans and followers:<\/p>\n

Step one: Enable\u00a0Post-Share Window<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Note: The post-share window is automatically enabled when you add share buttons to your site. Most users can skip directly to\u00a0Step Two<\/strong>\u00a0to set-up their social network profiles.<\/em><\/p>\n

  1. Sign into<\/a>\u00a0your account.<\/li>\n
  2. Click the settings icon \"Settings\u00a0at the top right to access your account settings\u00a0(or click\u00a0here<\/a>).<\/li>\n
  3. Click on Site Tools<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Click\u00a0\"Setting\u00a0next to your site name, which will take you to the Edit Settings<\/strong> page.<\/li>\n
  5. Select the Sharing<\/strong> tab, click the checkbox next to “Show Post-Sharing Dialog” then toggle the switch next to Follow Buttons<\/strong> to the right.<\/li>\n
  6. Finally, hit Save Settings<\/strong> and voila<\/em>, you now have the post-share dialog set-up and ready for Follow Buttons.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Step Two: Add Follow Buttons to your Post-Share window<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Now that you’ve enabled the post-share window, you can add the social networks where you want readers to follow you. Here’s how to set it up:<\/p>\n

    1. Click the Settings icon\u00a0\"Settings\u00a0next to Follow Buttons.<\/li>\n
    2. Choose the position, layout, size and alignment of your follow buttons (a preview will show in the box below) and customize the Headline Text.<\/li>\n
    3. In the Accounts section, add your username for the social networks you want to add. The buttons will appear in the preview box as you add your username.<\/li>\n
    4. Click Save Settings and you’re done!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
