Confessions of an Advertising Man<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-15790\" title=\"Confessions of an Advertising Man by David Ogilvy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shareaholic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Confessions-of-an-Advertising-Man-by-David-Ogilvy.png\" alt=\"Confessions of an Advertising Man by David Ogilvy\" width=\"100\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And a final recommendation from yours truly&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Back when I ran\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.blanklabel.com\">Blank Label<\/a>, I read Confessions of an Advertising Man and it changed my life. David Ogilvy\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Confessions-Advertising-Man-David-Ogilvy\/dp\/190491537X\">book<\/a> proved itself timeless many years ago thanks to pithy writing and lines like, \u201cTell the truth, but make the truth fascinating.\u201d Ogilvy teaches ways to quickly give audiences the information they need, which will always be relevant. When I read sections that were written for a different era, I found myself reworking the idea to fit the challenges I face and channels that I use.<\/p>\n<p>After reading this list, you might wonder why I included suggestions for books about advertising, PR and gobbledygook. The fact is, content marketing campaigns are at their best when integrated with all other facets of digital.
